The poster war is continuously intensifying regarding the by-elections to be held on nine seats in UP. The phase of rhetoric that started with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ is now becoming more intense.
A poster with Akhilesh Yadav’s photo put up outside the SP office on Saturday night has again come into the news. In this poster, the slogan of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been counterattacked. In this hoarding, replying to ‘Bantenge to Katenge’, it is written – ‘Mathadhish will divide and cut… PDA will add and win. This poster has been put up by party leader Amit Choubey in which BJP has been targeted.

SP leader Amit Choubey, who put up this poster, said that through this poster we have put into words the sentiments of the entire state. Law and order has collapsed in the state today. Bulldozers are being run on the houses of the poor. Chief Minister Yogi is first of all an abbot, he does not talk about humanity and affinity. They do not talk about development of the state but instead talk about dividing and cutting. Through this poster, we have put into words the feelings of Dalits, forward and backward people.
Let us tell you that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given the slogan ‘Bantege to Katenge’ to unite the Hindu community in favor of BJP, which Akhilesh Yadav called the worst slogan in political history. Before this, in the poster put up by SP, it had been countered that ‘Neither will we divide nor will we cut, we will remain with PDA.’
Meanwhile, BSP supremo Mayawati also gave a statement on the same line on Saturday and said that if we join BSP, we will move ahead and remain safe. He had termed the ongoing poster war between SP and BJP as useless and had appealed to the people to join BSP.
He had said that in order to divert the public’s attention from their shortcomings, BJP is now busy promoting slogans like ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ and SP and Company’s ‘Judenge to Jeetenge’ etc. Whereas all their policies have been wrong, hence it is better that if you join BSP, you will move forward and will also be safe.
